About Us

Metal Canvas was inspired by Michele and Gina Kozar, a mother and daughter who wanted to use their creative talents to express their passions, interests and beliefs in a very common way through every day accessories like belt buckles and bracelets. Their business started as a simple hobby in early 2009 when they starting making inspirational jewelry for family and friends.

Michele has always had a passion to create unique and different ways of expression through art. “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” as Gina also enjoys expressing her creativity though art as well. Their business is a labor of love and they feel that many others can express their passions, interests and beliefs through the artwork they create. The accessories they offer are everyday reminders of the people, pets and things we love and the things that inspire us in high school, college and throughout our adult lives.

Michele and Gina both have dual careers while managing a successful business. Michele has had a passion for helping people since college and has been in the healthcare field for over 30 years. She is registered in pediatric and adult echocardiography and manages a cardiac lab for a large cardiology group in the suburbs of Chicago. Michele has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 28 years, has two children and recently became a grandmother for the first time. Gina will be finishing college in the Fall of 2010 with a degree in Marketing from Columbia College in Chicago.
